Jamie the Champion is the 6th episode in As the Bell Rings (Singapore). Jamie becomes the captain of all sports in the school by becoming captain of one more sport, cheerleading.
Synopsis[]
The bell rings and Jamie walks into the main corridor playing with his soccer ball. Ying Ying spots him and wildly runs toward him and asks him how the soccer trial went. Jamie tells her that he scored thirty shots as usual and the coach made him captain. Ying Ying gets surprised and says that it is cool. Ying Ying asks him how he scored thirty shots and Jamie tells her that he kicks the ball over the Goal Keeper's hand. Then, with confusion, Ying Ying asks him how short the goal keeper was. Aziz walks over revealing that he was the goal keeper. Aziz tells them that he is really good at catching stuff, but then Ying Ying makes fun of him and then starts passing the soccer ball to Jamie and over Aziz.
Both Jamie and Aziz walks down the main corridor as Jamie asks Aziz if he realizes that he is the captain of every sport team in the school. Aziz then tells him that there is a sport team that he is not captain of. Jamie asks him what sport it was but Aziz tells him that it costs him two bucks to tell him, so Jamie gives it to him. Before Aziz got to hold it he changes his mind and tells Jamie that he doesn't think that Jamie is caught up for it. Jamie complains that why he, the champion wouldn't be caught up for it. Then Aziz tells him that if he quits the class, then he is a big chicken. Jamie finally agrees and gives him the two bucks. Jamie asks him what was the deal and Aziz tells him that it was cheerleading. Jamie gets astonished and takes back the two bucks again. Aziz then makes a chicken noise and Jamie gets annoyed by it so he gives back the two bucks. Before Aziz walks away he telss him that if he wanted pom-poms then it would cost a price of two dollars.
Lizzie dressed up as a cheerleader and Ying Ying, runs to the main corridor. Aziz comes in and asks Lizzie if she signed up for the cheerleading squad. Lizzie says that it she has been captain for the last three years as she accidentaly use her pom-pom and shoves it into her mouth. The Aziz tells him that this year there would be a surprise. Ying Ying asks him what the surprise is. Then, Jamie runs in dressed up as a cheerleader too. Ying Ying tells Jamie not to bother practicing his moves because Ying Ying is really good, but Jamie wants to be the captain of the squad. Jamie brags and says that if Lizzie can do it then he can. Lizzie shows off and tells Ying Ying to lift her leg all the way up to her head. Lizzie tells Jamie that may the best girl win as she runs off. The Jamie yells across the hall saying that the girl is going to be him. Aziz says, "Yeah, you tell her Jamie!". Jamie stares at Aziz and and Aziz say, "What?".
Ying Ying runs to the window looking really tired. Aziz comes over and asks him if any of the two (Lizzie and Jamie) made it to the squad. Ying Ying tells him that it is still going on and that she couldn't watch anymore after Jamie made a split land on his pom-poms. Aziz makes a injured face like he could feel the pain too. The Lizzie walks in looking all sweaty and pooped. Ying Ying runs over and asks her what happpened. Then Jamie runs over looking sweat and popped too as Aziz asks him what happen to him. Jamie tells them that he made it to captain as Lizzie congrats him. Then Aziz tells Jamie to show him the split he made earlier. Jamie does it and then Aziz congrats Lizzie that she became the new captain of the cheerleading squad. Lizzie becomes happy, thanks Aziz and walks off. Then Ying Ying and Aziz looks at Jamie on the floor and Ying Ying asks him if he needed any ice. Aziz tells him that it would be two dollars and then Jamie takes out the two dollars and Aziz takes it.
